Tires are same as before, and not indicating uneven wear. The
mismatched tire on the RF was due to my son "borrowing" a spare
when he rotated a directional tire on the '88. I didna' realize
it was still on there until the alignment, and THAT could have
actually been the cause of the wet traction feeling I got. Small
but noticable when pushed.
The LF strut was replaced maybe 2k ago, and that was the reason
for having the alignment done. The handling was still good, but
I figured it was good PM. Now I hate the handling. I mean hey,
the steering wheel didn't move three inches under hard accel
before the work, now it does. I think the next stop is a
different shop for a "second opinion". I will have the toe
double checked there for sure.
I was worried that the first guy over-torched some bushings or
something, still am. I just don't know exactly what to look for.
