Re: fuel distributor 5ks

Rob,

I also have a feeling that it isn't the fuel distributor, but I just don't
don't know what else it could be. I brought the car into the local audi dealer
first a couple of months ago and they told me the problem was a bad cat (cracked)
and I could also use some new injectors. I had a local muffler shop pull out the
cat and they said it was in great condition. The Audi dealer said that the fuel
pump was getting a little weak and making some noise but it was still in spec. I
am clueless to what can cause this problem. I am thinking electrical but just
don't know where to start, the problem apparently lies with gas getting to the
engine. Do you know if the cis injection can instantly cut the engine off, is
there some electronic control that will do this??

BTW I asked the mechanic if it could be a clogged strainer but he said that
plenty of gas is making it to the FD, just not out of it.
