That's why most people on this list will strongly urge anyone
running these tires to switch over to a decent snow tire if the car
will be encountering snow and ice. I refused to drive my moms
3000GT VR4 in the snow with SP 8000's with 245/45/17's It was
downright death on wheels! She now runs with 17" snows and the
car does pretty good. On another side note, there was a silver S6
at the local Audi dealer the other day with a folded under right front
tire and a huge gash in the beautiful Avus rim. Guess what: SP 8000
on the car!. I can hear it right now: " I don't know what happened Mr.
service manager, I went around a corner and car slid into a curb.
I thought this car had 4 wheel drive!"

 Bottom Line: GET SNOWS!
