help! hesitation again

	well, let's see.

mike and i met up this afternoon and decided to hold
off on the fuel line replacement. we kind of forgot
to find out what type and size parts to purchase -
diameter of fuel line, stuff like that.

so i worked on some wiring replacement (and finally
licked the 4k cutout) and mike noted when i moved the
car that the break lights were not functioning. blah.
i checked the switch at the pedal and it works - full
continuity when the pedal is depressed. the lead
going into the pedal has a clean 12v or so. since both
brake lights do not function, thoug hthe bulbs and
other lights are ok, i assume there's something before
they split and intend to hunt it down. though it's
really hard to see anything beyond the fuse panel,
and it's worrysome to move stuff around in there lest
something else come lose. the fuse, btw, is fine.

anyway, the real problem. followed mike's urq on a
spirited drive out to 2bennett to drop off his car
for some fine tuning. had a nice dinner and got back
on the freeway to head home.

some of you may remember the post i made when i arrived
back in sf after driving the car out from denver. i
encountered a hesitation-kind of problem. this problem
returned, with me several months under the hood wiser
and also with another (much better) mechanic in the car.
basically, the car will hesitate, losing 10-25% of
overall power. boost is unaffected, according to the
gague. the power loss is intermittent, and we discovered
that putting the pedal to the floor will always bring
back the power, with a thump, somewhere between one
and two seconds. theory here is that whatever is
going wrong gets put right again when the wot switch
opens up. also, if this hesitation is allowed to
continue without using the floor-it method to make
the temporary fix, the car will pretty much lose
all power and limp to a stop - with the engine still
	running. it idles totally fine.

let's see. after i picked it up from the first repair
i had at 2bennett, this problem had been corrected,
though i don't know if it was specifically addressed
or fixed as part of some other repair. i do know that
they replaced the fuse panel and i was rooting around
*a little* around there today. also, perhaps more than
coincidentally, the brake lights did not function when
i took the car to 2b too. some sort of deep electrical
	demons?

well, that's about it for now. thanks for reading,
	i can't wait for y'alls selection.
