Snow fun in my quattro.

Yea,
I'm sure everyone is sick of these messages. I'll make it short.
I pulled out a BMW 5 series with snows that was stuck in a parking lot
right after I pulled out a Buick from another. What fun that was. It
was like an Ice skating rink though and even with both diffs locked and
studs I was easilly spinning tires just by letting out clutch. Had to use
a "Little" momentum to get other car moving.
There was ONE car there though that could of out performed me
however. Later that night an interesting truck showed up. Brand new
Dodge 3/4 ton extended cab and long bed. WITH TRACKS!!! Talk about a
Snow Beast. This had tracks in place of each wheel that added a good foot
to the overall height and each track was about 3 feet long and probably
12-14 inches wide. Talk about a contact patch. It moved great on snow
and Ice. I guess it worked on ice because the rubber could mold around
all the little edges in the ice and grip it. In snow, well, thats
obvious. Anyhow, pretty neat, I have seen pics of trucks with this but
never in person. I will post pics on my web page soon. L8R
