Dear Steve,

This happened to one of my cars too, but I found that the pads still had
lots of wear left.  Check pads and if fine, then you might simply have a
broken wire leading up from the pads to warning system. I found my break on
drivers side, about a foot up.  If pads are ok, then unplug sending wire
near pads and complete circuit with another wire. If light goes out, then
you likely have a break which you can then track down with a pin if there
are no obvious cracks in the wires.
