Electrical Weirdness

All,

I have an '85 5ks that is experiencing some electrical problems.

Here's what's happening:

When the cooling fan comes on at the highest speed, the electrics
"hiccup".  This means the lights, radio, etc., momentarily lose power
when the fan kicks in, but come back on a second later.  I am guessing
that the fan is somehow pulling in too many amps, but do not know
enough about electricals to confirm this.  Everything else appears
normal,
except the fan does appear to be running faster/louder than usual.
The fan is original, and the car does have 300k + on it.  

I am not currently on the list, but do peruse the archives.  Any help
would
be greatly appreciated.
