I hope you have or are able to establish a good working relationship with the
outfit that sold you the motor. Having done a similar swap, IMHO you will
probably need bits and pieces that weren't included with your original shipment.
Little things like the after-run cooler relays and equipment. These can be
overlooked by an overworked junkyard tech. Also, be prepared for components that
don't function. Did they promise you a flywheel? The last one I had sent arrived
with a broken hall sender pin. Then you can get into the problem of if you have
to pay for the component or not. It's best to establish the ground rules up
front, or risk being "nickel and dime'ed" to death.
Beyond the potential problems of a"mail order conversion" I have no doubt you
will enjoy the project. Excellent performance is a fringe benefit of the
satisfaction of completing a challenging puzzle.

I have to agree with Pat....6 months of downtime, especially since you will have
to wait for components to be shipped.
