Andrew, you are correct in that they are very different, especially if 
yours is a turbo, you didn't mention the mileage which is key but you 
hit all the right notes yourself, all of the following should be looked 
at PREepurchase, as in what did the PO take care so you wouldn't have to 
spend time and money on.

will top the list.  Before I spend the big bucks on all of these I would 
like to prioritize them so that the expenses can be spread out.

You'll also want to check proper brake and ABS function in this weather, 
hopefully you have alot of maintainance records to go along with your 
purchase.
