OK, so let us know . . .(PS)

<<PS - finally found some time to do the Mzda 323 radiator - absolute snap -
easiest radiator swap I've ever done - 10mm box wrench, pliers for hose
clamps, pair of gloves, drain pan, funnel. 45 minutes from open hood to wash
hands. Wonder if "ease of service" is a phrase EVER heard in Ingolstadt or
Neckarsulm . . . never mind.

Interesting that you should mention radiator swaps. I've just done two within
the past week. First, the radiator core for the '76 Caprice (the four row
version that keeps the 454 runnin' nice and cool...) had a small leak and had
to come out for repair. Eleven half-inch bolts had to come out to get the fan,
shroud and radiator out of the car. Would have been a thirty minute swap --
but the thing that slowed down the work was having to go to the parts place to
buy another clutch fan, the old one had self destructed (big surprise, huh?)
And of course it's the thermal one, so it was much more expensive than the
"regular" one. Guess it learned *that* trick from sleeping with the Audis....
;-)
The other was the 4KQ. I was "privileged" to do this swap in the parking lot
of the local Wal-Mart. The only difficult part was the large lower radiator
hose that hides above the lower radiator shroud. But the swap was still less
than an hour. (In the snow and sub-freezing temps, BTW.)
I don't recall the 5KQ being hard to do either. And I've done that about a
half dozen times.
As far as radiators go, most of the ones I've had to change are pretty
accessible. Now, if you want to talk heater cores, that's COMPLETELY
different..... :-o

Hmmm... What was your point again? :-)

	Later.
