Re: heading to tahoe
Mine sure starts the best in the cold of all the Audis I had so far.
Since I changed over to synth 5w 30 it starts in -30 with no problems,
it doesn't even have any valve noises. Re. driving in snow, quattros
drive in snow incredibly well and makes you forget about how slippery
the road is. Keep in mind that you still have to stop though. Also if
you are pushing the car through turns lock your centre diff.

PS. I really enjoy driving up to ski resorts and passing all the 2 wheel
drive cars on the way up. :-)
