Intellectual Property was Lawyer Comments

Fellow Audians;

Trademark law, for better or worse, is such that if you don't protect
your trademarks (tm), you can lose them through a process of what's know
as dilution. Thus, the lawyers have to protect the tradename,
trademark, service mark and other intellectual property, or they can be
lost. If you have a website and you use a company's tradename,
trademark or service mark, you need to put the appropriate circle r or
circle tm, etc, next to the name, product name, crest, whatever.
Companies will also like it, if you use language at the bottom of the
page that is similar to what the P-car list states: "Porsche is a
registered trademark of Dr. Ing. h.c.F. Porsche AG. PorscheList is not
affiliated with Porsche Cars
North America (PCNA) or Dr. Ing. h.c.F. Porsche AG. All Copyrights,
Registered Trademarks and/or Registered Trade Names are property
of their respective owners." When you follow these rules, company's
will usually let you slide because you are not infringing on their
trademarks.
