windshield washer fluid

Osman - not that I really want to get picky but who do you get your ww fuild
from.

Here is my reason: Windshield fluid is not all the same. Typicaly,
Quicklubes, Mobil stations (like in the Albany area) use a fluid that comes
from their oil supplier, NOCO. (I used to manage NOCO's Eastern New York
distribution and sales center). I know that the fluid is not alyways the
greatest quality. Sometimes the water mixture is to high. Typcially, the
manufacturer has a summer and winter formula (Higher glycol mixture in the
winter). You may have gotten some summer mixture. Not a great profit margin
on a gallon of fluid that retails for $1 and is made for $.65 (including the
jug) -we arent talking high quality.

Try the Prestone mixture (its yellow) and I haven't had it freeze on me yet.

Incidentally - most probably wont care but - in most Jiffy Lubes, "quickie
oil" changes and some dealerships- they cut costs by mixing their own. They
buy a concentrate and mix it in a 55 gallon barrel with water. The person
who mixes it probably isn't a rocket scientist (or lawyer!!!) either.

end of boring discussion about windshield washer fluid.

I don't work for them any longer (Thank GOD!)
