The use of cameras at intersections has just been approved in Dallas
(probably the entire metroplex).

To say 'running the light' is a problem is a huge understatement. 75%
of the time I am at a light, 1 or 2 cars will run the red. If I wanted
to, I could launch at the first sight of green and slam a car (and get
a ticket for not allowing the intersection to clear.)

The local enforcement had taken to putting motorcycle cops on medians
and waiting for a car to run the light. He's not hidden by any means!
He doesn't put the kickstand down- like shooting fish in a barrel.

Penalizing these idiots for risking the lives of others just to get to
the TCBY or Starbucks 3 minutes sooner might make these blind-driving,
rude pinheads pay attention.

I'd advocate mounting HARM missiles on the tops of the light poles-
daring these idiots to run the lights.

I _would_ applaud the use of cameras to prevent light running---
but where would it end?
