So you go into court with a wry smile on your face. Call the citation into
evidence. Explain to the judge that you don't own a BMW and haven't driven
one in X years. Call your registration into evidence. Compare the two.

State for the record that you were not, could not, have been driving the
vehicle listed on the citation.

Ask for dismissal.
