5KCSTQ: Fuel Distributor mistake

Thanks to all that helped me diagnose my runnability problem.  turned out to
be a corroded wire at the enrichment temp sensor.
BUT, after I adjusted the mixture slightly, I returned the plug to the fuel
dist hole (Porche plug with wire loop for easy in and out) and pushed the
rubber plug through the hole!  Trying to remove it caused the plug to come off
the wire handle and is now inside the fuel dist somewhere - did it just fall
to the bottom of the air box?  Is is going to hurt anything?
Will it find its way into the intake manafold?
Help.
