Re: 4k door handles

Hello Paul!

I have no experience with the 4K door handles but I assure you, I do
know quite a bit about the 5K. I enclose the following information and hope
it will help you.
There finally is a fix for tired door handles. Clean it up as necessary
after removing it (them) from the door. Replace the damaged parts that are
available from the people that I've listed below. It is important that you
do the following lubrication. I suggest that you use LPS #3 which is a
heavy-duty rust inhibitor. It forms a heavy, waxy film that lasts for up to
two years. This is often used in the aviation field with crop-dusters.
Also while you have it apart, carefully clean the lock and use Super-Lube
grease lubricant with Teflon. If you set up a bi-yearly routine of cleaning
and lubrication, I bet you will never have trouble again! Price for the
repair kit with a disassembly tool is $26.95. The door handle repair kit
itself is only $17.95 with shipping an additional $4.75. I have no reason
to gain from recommending the use of the lubrication products or the repair
products but, I have had good luck with this routine with my own cars and
have had no reoccurring problems.
