While in the bay area last week, I happened upon an interesting project:  A
European-spec Sport quattro shell.  I would guess it is the street version.
No history or explanation, basically a rolling chassis, no interior, no
glass, no engine, no drivetrain or electrics, just a suspended body/chassis
with wheels.  Improbable Candy-apple red paint over it's unmistakable kevlar
panels.

Oh man, if I had the money.....that would perfect to drop a 20V turbo from an
S4 in there and you would have the perfect S1!  It would have a lot of power,
and you won't need to ship the engine to Germany for rebuilds!  Put a >1985
Coupe GT dash in there, and you are set.  You could build one exotic car for
under $30K total.  Tempted to play the lottery this week for the first time!
