Chip,
Finally, Chip questions that have nothing to do with ECUs!  As for the engine,
it's an Audi, it will last, just maintain it, and dont worry about it.  It's a
low pressure turbo anyway, so the engine is no way over taxed.  And if that's
not enough to convince you, remember the turbo is warrantied for 10yr/100K in
the Passat, so that should tell you something.  Dont make me bring up Dave
Head's 5000 Turbo with 240,000 miles on it.....

$1200 is a lot for an upgraded stereo, i am happy with the stock one.  Just
add the subwoofer and CD changer yourself aferward.  Spend that $1200 on 17"
rims, they will do more for the car!
