I too have email where ever I go.  However, to be a little more efficient I
just pick up my regular computer (Mac Powerbook 190cs) and take it along.
Plugging it into my Nokia Cell phone I can technically get my mail, all of
it, anywhere in the world.

Of course, I'm only supposed to use it when I'm out on a business
call...and 'alas' I have to instruct the mac to ONLY get my business mail
(via other account).  But, the potential is there!

Some people pack emergency supplies, food, etc.  Me, I hop in the quattro,
toss in my tool box, and trust in the fact that I can email my problem from
the side of the road and within an hour will have plenty of good responses
to work from...seems to me Phil Payne, Tom Nas, Huw, and all the
super-regulars are a heck of a lot faster then any road-side assistance
plan!  Cheaper too!

'Course, I haven't had to use _my_ road-side email plan _on the road_
yet...but as the'89 90q has no wood trim...I can't knock on wood...
