Re: V8 Audi hard to start
Hi.
I am having a similar problem occasionally on my 5KTQ. I find it bothers more
when the temperature gets really cold. To make a long story short, when it
bothers I tap the starter solenoid fairly lightly with a pair of vise grips. That
fixes the problem. I believe my problem is related to a combination of wear and
the type of lubricant used in the starter. (ie it onlys bother when very cold
(around 0 degrees F). You may or may not have a starter that is starting to go
south on you but try that. Good Luck on the troubleshooting.
