Re: Master Auto Works experiences?

Brett,
MAW is great place for Audi standard maintenance. My one problem with MAW
is that they use dealership pricing on parts ($130 for a wheel bearing...
OUCH!), and I find that they quote unnecessarily high labor times (4 hours
for a wheel bearing that everyone else seems to do in 2.5 - 3 hours). Their
labor rate is average at about $51.50/hour (not a typo). You won't find a
better deal on synth oil changes at $39.95, but I don't think they're the
place for diagnosing the tough problems, or finding cheap parts, or getting
things done quickly while they're on the clock. Nice enough crew of guys,
but man, that dealership parts pricing thing really rubs me the wrong way.
Its too bad, too, because I was high on the place until I had to have some
real work done.

Try Central Street Garage in Natick, very Audi savvy and better pricing,
also in the same general area.

Just got a flyer from Master Auto Works. The owner says he's a
"Factory Certified Master Audi Technician." I seem to remember
hearing good things about them, that they do excellent work with
  Audis.

Can anyone confer on this? I'm considering them because my current
mechanic does terrific work, but isn't very Audi-saavy and very
  overloaded...
