Point well-taken, Scott.  I was just surprised that it could be done at all
without taking the bumper, grille and intercooler off.

The fact that he managed to do it in less time than I would have thought, even
without taking the front off, suggests to me that he's a skilled wrench (and I
have other evidence of that). I'm not exactly sure why he decided to do it that
way: possibly because he didn't want to break the little plastic clips holding
the trim on the grille :-) (I just bought a few of those darn things: the most
expensive pieces of plastic I've ever purchased!)

But ... I agree with you : the job's  a lot easier if you do it the "normal" way.
