You can do the same thing Audi's doing with new mufflers now days.Weld in 1/2" -
3/4" brackets from the muffler's outer edge to the pipe before installation (a lot
easier)..
Two 180 degrees apart should do the trick (one on top and one on bottom).
You can do the same to the inlet side.
