Re: PN for Mercedes injectors?

0437 502 035- I'm assuming these are the fine threads
0437 502 047- assuming these are the larger, thicker threads.
Any help to decipher these two #'s would be greatly appreciated!"

Hi Chad, this may not be quite the answer you were looking for, but you did
say *any* help.....

The 047 was used in early(pre '85) large motored M-B's and actually was their
injector of choice for almost all their cars, say '78 up. In '85 they went to
the 035 injector for the large motors(400/500 cars) and actually kept the 047
for the smaller cars up to '91. The 035 was in use 'til 91 or so. It would
*seem* that MB changed up to the 035 to satisfy a need the larger motors
had(read fuel delivery) while keeping the ole standby 047 for anything else
that could possibly use it. Now I can't imagine the injectors out of a 190E
are the cats meow in upgrades, so my bet goes with the 035's. As to whether
the threads are correct...got a local Bosch rep that stocks 'em?

Or perhaps a local shop that does some M-B work might have a few around. I
think there were a few MB's at a shop in Boulder I was at last year for a few
minutes. Maybe Dave Lawson might know the one. Have fun at Steamboat! Take a
bank for me!

Standard Disclaimer: I don't work on M-B cars and the info above is only as
good as my notes from last year.
