How long will Koni's last?

<>
If you didn't keep the ORIGINAL sales receipt, probably not too long... Koni
has some deranged concept of what is needed for getting them to provide the
"lifetime guarantee". So, OK, end of rant about the company.
I've got almost 150K miles on a set of red Konis in an '87 5KCSTQ. The rear
ones are fine, the fronts are going soft. One started leaking at about 100K
miles, guess it still is. I need to tighten them up one more time, I guess.
So it's a mixed review. The fronts didn't hold up as well as the rears, I
don't think I've ever tightened the rears up at all, and the fronts are almost
gone. Now setting them to "full hard" is about like a good gas shock would be.

	Later.
