When we bought our car, the warranty we were offered for $300 or so was 5
years from the original service date and up to 75k miles.  I don't think it
was called Audi Assured.  I think it was Blue Ribbon certified or something,
I don't remember, I would have to pull my file on the car to see what the
name was.  It was presented as an extension of the original warranty.  I
have the list of coverages at home, but it was pretty complete.  That's one
reason I switched to synthetic with absolutely no fears, because if a seal
started leaking, they had to replace it :) (not to start that thread
again!).  Anyway, I figured it was worth the $300 or so.  One repair could
easily cost that.  Regardless, I think the consensus is $2k for a warranty
is a rip off.
