Overall, I think it is a teacher from NY with a p1800 volvo with 1.5 million
miles.

I am not sure about the VW.

To my knowledge the highest milage without major repair or motor work goes
to a machinest in WA state that had about 900,000 on his mercedes diesel. 
To my knowledge the car is now at Don Rasmussen Mercedes Benz in WA, or OR.
