RE: Blau S4/S6 rear struts

I believe this thread started because there is a problem finding the right
struts to fit on the rear of a 5k/200 TQW.

This was discussed during May/June of '98 and the consensus was that the
Boge TG struts for a non-quattro wagon also fit the quattro wagon just
fine.  The only problem is the catalog doesn't list them as a choice for
the TQW.

The Boge part number for the rear struts on a TQW is 32-859F for the
Turbo-gas and 32-859P for Pro-gas.

Copied below from the archives are two posts from others who have actually
used these on the TQW.

Well, after much hassle, I got the replacement Turbo Gas shocks for the
rear, and there was no modification necessary, although they are not listed
as the correct part.  Boge part 32-859F is what bolts on, but they're
supposed to bolt on to a non-Quattro wagon.  They're an exact match for
what I pulled off so...

... well, I cannot speak to the performance of the yellow Boges as yet, but
I did get the numbers off of them.  Application - 5kCSQW, Boge Turbo-Gas
(Yellow) stamped part numbers:

                Rear    1-0201-32-859-F (Gas Pressurized)
                Front   1-0201-32-402-F (Gas Pressurized)

These are the units I recently obtained from Mike LaRosa ... perhaps he can
comment on the ride quality and performance of these dampers as compared to
the stock units.
