Re: European Auto Rental
Ditto Dan's remark about Autoeurope. Rented from Avis (Stuttgart), Jan
98 and have this year's trip reserved through Autoeurope (Munich).
They're cheaper, have no restrictions except to Eastern Europe, allow
one-way rentals, and you could, if really flush, rent an A4q. SO and I
liked the A3 last year and got it again for this trip. Even w/the 74Kw
motor the A3 had no problems on the Autobahn and 40+mpg makes the shock
of buying gas somewhat less painful. Difference in rental over larger
car saves plenty of $$$ for other necessities like the horrifically
expensive food.
