Audi Bose On/off knob

I too have the faulty ON/OFF Bose radio control.
I was quoted $70 just for the part from one place and $30 from some
blaupukt repair facility in the Mid-west. Both say the part is back
ordered and they are expecting it from Germany sometime in March.
The part number they gave me is: 8 941 481 028
I am now contacting my father in Germany to see if I can purchase it
localy there.
I'll post the results later.

P.S. Has anyone else completed the knob replacement themselves?
