I asked the Audi sales rep at the SJ Auto Show about this, and his response
was that there is such high demand for the S4 in the European market, that
Audi simply cannot make enough of them.  There is not enough production
capacity to produce it for the North American market, at least not yet.

I don't know if this is BS, but that's what he said.
