Its a tongue and groove slip joint. Just remove the two bumper
bolts and pull the bumper out about 3" so you can reengage it.
Often there are also small snap connectors in the same area of
the bumper covers but lower. After re-bolting the bumper, just
give the cover a light smack with your hand at each of these
locations to reengage these if they failed to connect during the
main operation. Take care not to fumble the bumper cover
while it's loose thereby yanking on the turn signal wiring.
But don't let this information stop you from getting nutty.
