Mark, see if you can park the car indoors in a heated area for a couple of
nights. Should allow all the water to evaporate/drip out. Also, instead of
using boiling water to melt it, grap a propane torch and a glove and heat
up your key.  If you are careful this can be done without melting the
plastic on the key.  you may have to heat up the key...insert...heat up
again...insert a few times before it will turn.  Finally, if you give your
car a wash, or especially if you use a car wash, put some masking tape over
the locks before you go in...keeps the water out.
