A real _EMERGENCY_ stop (and I mean CRASH WITH ALL YOUR WEIGHT) with
a non-functional compensator will cause the back end to step out _way_
beyond the ability of a normal driver to catch it.  Go to 30 mph and
_really_ lay in to it.  And then try doing it like it was _your_ kid
in the road.
