I've had it happen to me too, but it corrected itself after about
10 minutes.  I just figured it's the "adaptive" transmission software
that "reads" how you drive and adjusts it's shifts accordingly.
45min in stop and go, and the 'puter decided you didn't need
top gear, you drive like an old lady.

As an encouraging note, this happened about 4 years ago, and the
tranny is still fine.
