RE: A4 brake problem in the rain

this is all rather strange for this lister to read. *all* my audis todate
have insisted that i stab the brakes on starting out as being the only way i
can get the f*%$?g idiot (brake light test) light to go off.

at least i no longer have the "wr"'s voice intoning "check the brakes, check
the brakes". does the a4 not have this feature?

anyway,. standard procedure. as capt kirk says "make it so".

I would hope that people aren't reading too much into this.
The degraded
brake performance is easily remedied by a quick stab of the
brakes when
starting out, and I haven't noticed it re-appearing until
the car sits for
a while. The brakes work well the rest of the time, and I
certainly
prefer the A4s brakes to other cars I drove. Unless someone
can
demonstrate that this is caused by a defect in the design of
the brakes
and/or pads, I'm going to just do a quick brake test before
starting out.
Kind of like checking the idiot lights.
