Fuel guage continued

With Huw's help I think I know what's wrong...
Filled up tank this am, so gauge should read full
but it does not.  The voltage regulator on cluster works.
Had struts put in last Thursday and think the sender unit got
knocked around and stopped working, did not notice any 
problem until I changed Speedo unit on Sunday... Any BTDTs
on this out there in qland?   84 4ks, no q!     Thanks!
