... I guess it is one of those personal preferences things. I just picked
up the copy of Automobile Quarterly that covers both the Quartz and Paul
Frere's article on the ur-quattro and what it did for Audi. I highly
recommend this issue (Volume 19 #3) for anyone that is a fan of the quattro
turbo coupe. I didn't think the exterior of the quartz looked that bad, but
it was obviously a Pininfarina design, and I didn't care much for the
dashboard at all. The Quartz is probably where the exhaust tip that forms
the Audi rings was first done. I also thought that turning the fuel filler
cap into one of another set of 4 rings was an interesting touch ...
