testing for leaking dc current
if you don't have a meter handy or hate math :>), attach clip leads
(available in a blister pak from radio shack) to a brake light bulb...1157
would work. disconnect the ground line from your battery and connect the
bulb to the battery neg terminal with one clip lead and to the removed cable
or ground with the other clip lead. a big drain will make the bulb glow
brightly and a small leak will make it glow dimly. a minor leak won't even
make it glow....thats when you make up another clip-lead bulb with a smaller
wattage rating and try it.
