ARe the Turbo motors and Non Turbo motors different in this
respect?

All the NA's I've pulled cap on run fine without it. Turbos
dont.

My 1988 90qs all stop when the oil filler cap is removed. The reason is
that the crankcase ventilation connection is after the fuel metering. The
result is a too lean condition. This is what Phil was describing.
