arrgh! rearview mirror

ARRGH!!!
This am the S.O. goes out to the A6 to take our little one to school, a
minute later she comes back in a asks for the super glue. Super
glue????, Why? The rear view mirror fell off she replies.
Lovely, just what I need on a day when i have tons of stuff to do.
Anyway, after looking at it I've decided to put it back up myself, as
the adhesive is only like $2 puls 20mins to stick it up, and taking it
to the dealer to be fixed for free would certainly take at least an
hour. For you BTDT guys, dose the silver button in the back of the stalk
come out, looks like it might, to glue it back to the windshield.
Otherwise I'll just glue the stalk back and snap the mirror back on
later.
