Re: Wanna wash my new car...

LOL, that is exactly how it works! For those who wondered where I got my
info, for about the last 10 years, I hvae hung around Sutherland Mercedes
Benz Detail Department. The "Concours Manager" there was coowner of a small
wax company that produced products for the cars. He told me that leather
chamois will remove the wax from cars. Not beleaving him I experimented
drying half of the car with a chamois and the other half with pure cotton
towls. The pure cotton side looked nicer longer. I am not sure if it
actually "sucked" the wax out, but it did sure dull the side that was dried
with the chamois. One other recommendation that he made that has worked well
for me is to put one teaspoon or so of cooking oil in about 3.5 gallons of
soapy water when washing your car. Why? He told me it lubricates the
surface just enough not to grind the dirt that you are washing off on the
paint.

Now you have it.
