My friend was looking up under my gorgeous 1987 4000 Quattro the other day 
(self-promotion) and he saw these "fittings" on my sway bar/subframe that 
looked (to him) like mounts for a skid plate.  Has anyone ever fitted a 
skid plate to the bottom of a 4k beast?  If so, I'd like to know....


Also, I replaced my lifters last year and that got rid of my 
clickety-clackety racket that seemed to happen just as cute girls were 
walking by and my "showing-off" was ruined as they looked at me and 
laughed....Anyway, the clicking is back, and my oil level is topped 
off.  I'm just wondering if I can get reassurances from the group that it's 
just because of winter, forces of nature or something....
