Slow boost with bypass



Me too,

I've thought that since installing an S4/6 plastic bypass type valve that
boost came on slower.  The car is an '88 with no other engine mods than a
chip/spring and a K&N.

The boost side of the valve is plumbed 90degrees to the vac. nipple, the
exit in line with the vac nipple.  Vac source is the back of the IM.  

No whoosh sounds or idle problems though.  I've spent no time trying to
find out why or tried other valves though.  

There is less lag between shifts as it should be.  Ideas?  BTFT?
