At least Centurion Audi have got a parts dept. OK, its hidden behind a glass
door (with 'Parts Counter' etched in it so you cant read it) and you have to
wait for someone to turn up but the fiche is in easy reach.
Coupe of weeks ago I asked the young lad in the parts dept (young! he looked
about 12 years old) for "An oil pressure sender for a 1988 quattro turbo, MB
engine". He asked "Coupe?" to which I replied "What else?" (ok, I'd had a
bad day, especially after testing the sender on a hot MB). 2 minutes later
he says "Theres no MB engine listed on this fiche". I controlled myself,
reached over the counter, pulled out the fiche labelled "Audi quattro/Audi
Sport quattro" and said in a very tired voice "Try _this_ one".
