If you are NOT a citizen of the US you can get a 1 year exemption on the car
and import it.  1 year only.  See DOT form HS-7.  I believe I suggested this
when you were thinking of coming over here (or had just arrived).  I think
this is the best you can do.  I couldn't get any RI's to talk me either...
