Experiences with Torsens and differently worn tires

The wife has been asking me if there is a problem with a rear tire running
low on the V8. I checked and the pressures were just fine. I took the car
out myself last night and noticed that under power there is some sort of a
strangeness coming from the back of the car ... which seems almost like a
tire out of balance. The thing is that the vibration goes away when power
is removed and comes back when power is applied. I recently rotated the
tires, as I noticed that one of the fronts was nearly worn out ... so I
figured it would be better to have it on the back. The tire on the other
side has a bit more tread ... what I started thinking last night is that the
difference in diameters of the two tires might cause the Torsen to start to
shift power. This would explain why the sensation seems to come and go with
the application and removal of power. Has anyone else experienced this sort
of effect or have any suggestions as to what might be causing the problem?
