88 90q FS in Santa Cruz, CA

No, not mine...I don't have an 88 90q.

A dealer here in Santa Cruz has an 88 90q FS that may be of interest so I
thought I would pass along what I know.

I took only a quick look and didn't drive it since I'm not interested in it
myself.

It has just a touch over 100k miles. I have never seen the color combination
before. Dark olive green paint with lighter shade of olive green leather.
Looked like it had all the usual 90q toys...(they came pretty loaded).

Cosmetics inside were very nice. Exterior had some moulding troubles (a couple
missing if I recall) and a minor dent in one of the doors (the kind that
happen when someone presses on the door skin too hard).

I didn't hear it run or have time to explore further. The sales dude said they
were asking ~$9500.00 (believe it or not! gasp!) I informed him that these
typically go in the 4-6k range to which he said the usual "make an offer" and
"would you be trading in your 5000? oh, it's a quattro too?" That was the sign
to high-tail it outathere!

I got the impression it could be had for the range I advised them they
typically go for despite the way out of line asking. These guys are a used car
dealer but they seem to imply that they try to please customers (they
advertise a 5 day return policy for example).

That's about all I know. If any out of town listers want someone local to take
a closer look let me know. (I am on vacation though 'till next Wednesday...and

Have at it. It is a very unsual color combo...but not for everyone I have a
feeling. Again, no affiliation and YMMV.
