Hmmmm. Now, there's no flame intended here... but I can't understand at
all why anyone would want to lose the displacement advantageof the five,
at least in a urQ. The 1.8 is a fine engine indeed- but it makes less
power (stock) than a standard MC! I understand that anyone who would pay
the expense to wire up a monster conversion like that would never keep it
stock, but I just can't (maybe it's the old "no sub for cu. inches"
adage) see downsizing the engine as a means to get more power.

Aside from that, sentimentally, I think the other-worldly 5-cyl growl is
part of the urQ mystique. It's surely one of my favorite attributes in my
lowly 5kt. If you're going to change the rumble of a urQ for more power,
why not (as long as the conversion is so arduous anyway) put in a 4.2?

Just a thought.
